Hmm, well Cipieres ran out of power today, so Kingy moved the office over here to finish the next issue of the worlds best paragliding magazine

Soo now we are 2 computergeeks in one flat… Cafe time now
I’m leaving for Marocco tonight!
Going paragliding and culture endulging.
Crap weather here but i feel happy, i’m going on a short trip to Marocco with Pierre from Cumulus in Greolieres. http://www.ecolecumulus.com/principal/home/voyages.php
I have wanted to see Marocco for quite some time, so now i’m going! Cant wait to get some taste of the Maroccoan flying, food and culture!!! Pictures will come as soon as i can! But i’m not shure i’ll be able to update my blogg from Marocco, will try from iphone but not realy 100% on how it’s done, yet…
I get back to Greolieres on the 8th of november, stay there 4 days and then ship of to Sweden for to see friends and attend the instructor seminarie and offcourse Moms birthday! after this, things get abit blurry. But i will keep U posted on my whereabouts…

I no longer live in the superb flat above Greolieres that me and Lisa shared for some time. It is to be her and Nick’s new home. I congratulate them and hope all goes well. Fair and square.
My future plan is to live life and not kill myself trying ;-). Work even less and play more. Good plan huh?
Now all i need is a place to stay, in åre…
Hmmm, age or something…
Yesterday I took a couple of nice pictures of Greolieres in authum colours from my balcony. Sadly some of last ones from my balcony. I’m starting to get sentimental. But hey, Greolieres will still be here!
Greolieres is a paradise for pilots of any level. Go here or die wondering
Woke up and it looked like a nice day. Had breakfast and abit of interneting, sorting flight tickets… more about that later.
Then a hike to 300 takeoff in greolieres. Flew the ozone ultralight25. But it was weak and i managed a quick toplanding and then a bit of soaring. But not much… Simon Muttle got to try the new Gradient Montana. Look’s like a good lightweighter. The glider that is

At the landingfield pilots were talking about Col de bleyne. Soo of we went! With a bunch of very dark clouds some in our group decided not to fly. I was the airdummie. And i picked a bad time. I went more or less straight down
Did a low tailslida and then landed my octane flx. Felt abit sore all over and did not realy mind being on the landing. Anyway, Kingy, Charlie and Lisa got to ANCA and Simon turned around, late, and just missed the bison farm…

Afterflight was had a le grand rocher. We called it a day. Soon we have to be dressed for a party!!! Down at le Foulon.
A quick powernap and i’m ready for party!!!
Meteo france said rain and storm winds for the day.
They were slightly wrong… Gourdon was realy good! I flew my octane flx 24 and it was big enough for me. No problems staying up. Soared around with Russ Ogden and Luc Armant.
Jerome Canaud was there flying his tiny gliders, today it was a Dudek Zakospeed extreme 16 m2. He soared and topplanded. Smiling!!!
They were testing the Mojo3 protos and had a good day.
It was rather easy to get high, so i practiced deepstalls to make me more confident when going for heli… The air was bouyant so i did some SAT and reversals. And I had a wingover session that would not finish. I did not sink!!! So much fun!!! Topplanding and doing some windy groundhandling.
Every day should be like this! Playtime!

Well i flew for 2 hours and was happy with that. Tonight i’ll have a beer and a pizza Fred at barricade.
Life is sweet!!!
And yeah, check this video, it inspired me for todays flying… http://vimeo.com/2027546
I got up early because it was raining hard on my roof. Sorted abit of work. And then chilled with a coff…

Checked Gourdon, 17-28 km/h winds! Sounds ok. So me and the 2 norwegians went there. It was on, but died by the time we arrived on takeoff. So we missed the short window. Russ Ogden landed a new Mojo3 proto that looked fantastic! Even the colours

However i managed to introduce the Flan to the norwegians and i also made an evil thing. I tricked one of the norwegians to try a fresh olive. That bitter taste stays in the mouth for awhile…
My bad ;-). Sorry.
Good thing they got to try the Flan before evil olive testing!

During the weekend i did some sightseeing with my girlfriend and we ran into a old car rally session at Causouls. Nice old Citroen, Ferrari, Peugots, Lamborgini and other beauties!
And we also had a nice stroll along the promenade de anglais.
A very nice long weekend that went very fast.
Now i hope for some good flying before leaving Greolieres…
Yep, we did it. Walked up in moonlight to the 700 takeoff in Greolieres. I brought sleeping bag, bivy bag, sleeping mat and an Ozone Ultralight with the new Oxygen harness/backpack, (thank’s Dav). And a small stove and some snacks.

Me and Marcus King started at 23.00 and had a lovely walk in fantastic moonlight! Did not need our headlamps!!!

Until getting to the later part of the hike, when we were swallowed by mist… We wandered about in the mist for a while. Helping each other when visability got realy bad. Needless to say, we got lost!
But found our way to the 700 takeoff thanks to abit of clear sky!
So we camped next to the sign of 700 decollage. Sleept ok. Woke up in the clouds… Zero visability!
Waited, had coffee, snacks. Sms:ed som friends for reports about cloudbase level. It was getting better.
But we were planing on what way to walk down. It was not looking very hopefull.
Then Dav called and told us to get to the lower part of 600 launch because he could see it from his house near Greolieres landing!!! Lisa sms:ed me too and Activity was full on. And we hurried down the hill. And we
could see the valley bottom
Fixed our gliders and took off into the mist below cloudbase.
We wingovered to stay bellow base. And had a lovely flight.
Stayed awhile at 300, soaring and i even found a thermal between 300 and the ruins! Soo climbed up to Marcus again. But my hands were gettin’ cold, i forgot to bring gloves…
Photos of me flying the Ozone ultralight25 was taken by Marcus King, www.xcmag.com. Big thank’s!!!

We landed ever soo happy and packed up and had a coffee at St Hubert. Then walked back up to my place. This is realy free flying! Now i rest and eat, because tonight my girlfriend arrives at Nice airport

Today there’s a rally passin’ thrue Greolieres, fast and load cars! and lots of them. I went to Gourdon for some flying but it looked scratchy and that what not what i was looking for… So i did not go to takeoff.

After a quick visit to Ozone and a CV2 photosession in Bar sur Loup, i went back to Greolieres and had a coffee among friends, watching Frode and Dokken flying some thermals at Cheiron,

I waited for the road to open so that i could drive my car home. When no more rally cars came down the road i tried to drive hom. This happened at 16.00… but it was first after being rejected by gendermerie, and then 5 minutes later being waved by… Wierdos!!!
Well now i’m at home packing for a trip up to Cheiron, were me and Kingy are staying for the night! and hopefully we will be able to fly down in the morning
Ultralight packing and big smiles!!!
But now the rally cars are starting up their engines again, and sunset is close so i’m going out for some rally pics…
