Finally back home!

Åre is realy a fantastic place. It’s a great feeling sitting in the train and finally see Åreskutan pop up in the horision. Snowcovered and majestic. My home mountain! I hope to go snowboarding tomorrow or sunday. Maybe even some flying!!!

For this time of the year it’s a good base. It will probably be a good winter here.

I’m only here for a couple of days, then i leave for Stockholm, to see my new work and meet my new boss. Now i’m sorting what to bring to the big city. Lucky for me there’s an indoor skatepark in town. Now i only have to decide witch skateboard to bring…

Villa Björkås Cafe in Vargön Sweden

When i was a little boy(i’m now a big boy) i grew up in Vargön, a small village in Sweden. In the park there was ponds where i used to catch snakes and lizards. And there was a big scary house that was inhabited by ghosts… ;-)

today it’s a cafe and restaurant that has figured in a bunch of Swedish movies. It’s beautifully situated and it’s a realy calm and nice place.

Got some nice pics, enjoy.

Another short but good skateboard session in gothenburg

Thurday night is Vert for old boys at Area 51. It felt natural to go there. But, i have skated much too little the last 3 months to even think of vert skating. But now there was a perfect concrete/wood/skatelight VERTRAMP in Area 51 so i just had too try. And it was big, and fast and realy fun. I cant understand why i stopped skating vert, must have lost my mind.
I’ve just decided to take it up again. Vert skating that is :-)

However, tonight i went to Area 51 with Henrik Wadsten, and meet up with Magnus Olsevik who i had not seen in person for 20 years. It was a good feeling to see that nothin’ had changed! And he still had good style in the ramp, backside air, judo air, handplant, lien to tail and some other goodies! He can still sk8 very good.

Rulle came by to watch me in the monster… I did not put on a show. The ramp is abit intimidating.

Henrik Wadsten had to get back to Rondo to run the show there so he could not skate tonight. Next time Henrik! In Stockholm maybe…

And there were 2 girls skating the vertramp realy well. Much better than me… :-)

And the new part of the wooden pool is going to be sweet! Real cooping and tiles. It looks realy cool!

Skateboarding in sweden

I’m back!

In sweden i have so far managed to attend the instructor meeting and seeing some friends. And checking out a couple of skateboard parks here in gothenburg. One indoor yesterday and a new outdoor today.

Instructor meet was informative and well needed. We discussed and chated in a very nice spirit. I think sweden has a good and healty gang of instructors! On saturday evening we had a very good diner and some beer and wine helped raising the spirits abit…

On sunday i drove back to gothenburg, picked up my friend Rulle and we went to Area 51 to check it out. It’s a gigantic skatepark built inside a mountain. Ramplandscape and pools of different sizes. Great place!

And today me and another long time friend, Henrik Wadsten, went to the newest concrete park in sweden. And it was fantastic. The sun shined and we almost had the park to ourselves the first hour. Good because getting used to concrete transitions takes awhile, my skatetrim is bad. If i was flying and had this bad flight trim, i would be sent for groundhandling before flying… ;-)

This did not stop me much. Since Henrik was having a good time i got into it and had a realy good time. But next time i’ll bring bigger board and pads. Alot of pads… and helmet.

Tomorrow evening we are going to Area 51. Skatesession with the oldboys, and i will try to get some good pics. Skateboarding is so much fun!!!

Terrine for gods and friends of the best quality!

Last evening in Greolieres. This year.

Me and my friends gathered for diner at St Hubert. 8 happy people and loads of realy good food!!! We had a pastis before food. And our sweet hosts Christine and Andre presented the menu. The choise was between entrecote, duck and wild boar.

For starter we had coldcuts and Terrine, and it was looking good. I had almost to much Terrine, but it was sooo good. And then i had the Daube de sanglier for main course. Lovely meat! Wild boar cooked in wine for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Soo tender.
Dessert and coffee with a calvados. Food and drinks for kings!!! And in the company of real friends. We had a realy fun evening.

It has to be said that St Hubert is a great place to eat and drink, good service and realy well cooked french food. Check it out more than once…

It’s late. Goodnight.

NOTAM in alpes maritimes

For any visiting pilot i thought it would be good to mention the NOTAM. There’s a EU meeting on the riviera, something concerning Russia…

12 to 14 november the following sites are closed Gourdon, Gréolières, Col de Bleyne, Roquebrune, Sospel.

But La Colmiane, Lachens and Saint-André are open for flying.

This is not a big thing since the weather sucks here at the moment.

Tonight we are a bunch of happy people going for a diner at St Huberts in Greolieres.

And yesterday i was having diner with the lovely Ogdens(Cath, Grace and Russ) down in Mouns sartoux. After getting lost in the dark roads down in the plan de grasse area… I’m being very well treated down here. I must have done something good?

Tomorrow i fly to Sweden and alot of fun. More on this later, here on my blogg.

See U soon i hope ;-)

Found a couple of nice pics from on my Iphone. Thought i’d share them with U! Look at those sugercubes!!!

I’m all packed up and ready to go to Sweden, just waiting for thursday evening.I’m actually looking forward to going to sweden this time. Though i will travel a whole lot the next weeks. Hopefully i will be able to update blogg often. As long as i get WIFI…

But first some nice evenings with my superduper friends down here!
I did not go flying yesterday, wrong wind at first, and then good wind but then i was sorting my kits for traveling…

Today it’s grey here, i hear Bruce Goldsmiths words ringing in the back of my head. -when it’s flyable, fly!!!

Silly me. But hey, 198 flight so far this year. 105 hours(atleast). Lots of short top to bottoms. Lots of play. Lots of thermaling. Lots of kilometers. Lots of fun. And i still want more. And more…

3 more pictures on top of the 32 in last post…

Found a couple of nice ones i just had to add…

Enjoy!

I’m hopefully going flying at Gourdon in a few minutes. Great weather here in Alpes Maritimes. Even though november is the month with the least flying in the whole year. After rain comes sun ;-)

I leave for Sweden on thursday evening. Instructor meeting, seeing friends and mom’s birthday, of to Åre to get my car, drive to Stockholm, go to Finland and then back to stockholm where i will work from the first of januari until first of april.

I feel good!!!

Well i did promise U a little gallerie from Marocco. I hope U enjoy it.

Me and Pierre Verrier traveled around Marocco and had a good time. First part of the trip with his family in a Dacia rental car, and the later part with Pierre’s super fixed Land rover!!!

One day i was in Barrage de lalla takerkoust for a short internet session, and in the street i ran into Jerome Maupoint, (gin photographer extraordinarie). We got a ride with Shaun and his girlfriend to Aguergour and had a chat on the way. Jerome was going to a place called Imlil for a couple of weeks of mountainflying and hiking. In his bag was the latest Gin Rebel race and a Kortel Kuik harness. Lightweight and nice…

Also Rob with friends from flyspain and Manu with friends from Le grand bornard and alot of others friendly pilots came in our way. We all stayed at Dar Latifa, though the bigger Dar Abdoul was fully packed too.

The last days were very stable and not so fantastic flying conditions for me with my freestyleglider. On the last day the site was shut because the Maroccoan King was flying in the area on his private heli… And that was the best day of the week. I have never realy liked manarcy and this event did not make it any better.

I’m finally back in greolieres, sorting my trip back to Sweden for this years instructor seminair. In Värnamo…
